Caring & Sharing Tape Library Mission Statement. TO ALL MEMBERS, GROUPS, SERVICE GROUPS AND COUNCILS OF ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS: The CARING & SHARING TAPE LIBRARY has been founded since 1976 as a non-profit archive for A.A’s, Al-Anons and Alateens in Australia. The purpose is to preserve for posterity the stories of A.A’s from the inception of Alcoholics Anonymous in 1935 through to this day and to continue as an ongoing record. The archives will be supported by voluntary contributions of people who believe that A.A.’s 50 to 100 years from now will want to hear the tapes. Particular attention has been given to the history and growth of A.A. in Australia. This is a non-profit Organization and if there are any proceeds, they will be used for the upkeep of equipment and the purchase of any new master tapes. With full regard to Traditions 4, 5 & 6 and Copyrights, to be used only for personal listening, the following tapes are available recorded on good quality cassettes. The Caring and Sharing Tape Library is an ancillary aid (not an affiliation) to AA, Al-Anon and Alateen. Staff members are volunteers, however are trained and work under the direction of management. The purpose is to preserve for posterity the stories of AA, Al-anon & Alateen from the inception of Alcoholics Anonymous in 1935. The caring and Sharing Tape Library is geographically exposed to the fellowships throughout Australia, recording and making available recordings as well as making available our vast resource of recordings from our catalogue. Our catalogue is openly exposed to the fellowships throughout the world via our website and any recordings by our library along with many recordings from overseas are entered into our catalogue and are available by email, phone or mail order.
